EDX

The biggest progressive house music tracks from EDX's No Xcuses global radio show! EDX's No Xcuses global radio show is one of the most popular progressive house music podcasts on the internet. The podcast features new and exclusive music from some of the biggest names in dance music as well as remixes and reworks from up-and-coming producers.

Over the past few years, Maurizio Colella (better known as EDX) has established himself in the global EDM scene by headlining some of the best clubs and festivals around—even performing for crowds over 60,000 people, from Miami to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and Sao Paulo. The tour continued on from there through Seoul, Taipei, and Sydney.

The international superstar DJ/Producer has collaborated with many other famous musicians, including Axwell of Swedish House Mafia fame; Benny Benassi; Kelis; Deadmau5; Armand Van Helden, Bob Sinclar, and Kool & The Gang.

His remixes have frequently appeared on numerous DJ charts, including the DMC Buzz and Beatport. He was even voted in the TOP 3 of Beatport’s Best Progressive House Artist together with Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz.

EDX’s early involvement in music helped him begin a career as a producer and DJ, but it is his continued efforts that have brought EDX worldwide fame.

In 2011, EDX debuted his weekly radio program “No Xcuses” on the Electric Area Channel of SIRIUS XM. He spent that summer doing a residency at Space—the top nightclub in the world—and kept up this success by releasing his debut album On The Edge later that year.

Heavily influenced by the works of talented artists like Nadia Ali, Sarah McLeod, Tamra Keenan, Hadley, and Sam Obernik among others—Mr. Smith has worked tirelessly for approximately two years to produce this 14-track opus in honor of their music.

“Give It Up For Love,” a duet with John Williams, and “This Is Your Life”, a collaboration with Nadia Ali, are two tracks that have been written for the album On The Edge.

The release of “On The Edge” represented a milestone for EDX, who hopes to build upon his already successful career.

While EDX has expanded the scope of his work in 2013—collaborating with Leventina on their song “The Sun” and remixing Helvetic Nerds’ Blood Pressure—he maintains a strong connection to his roots.

EDX pursued a more club-friendly sound that was enthusiastically embraced by renowned musicians including David Guetta, Afrojack, and Avicii.

In his collaborations with Leventina, he delighted new and longtime fans by bringing back the vintage EDX progressive sound on songs like “Sunset Miracles,” which was released on Spinnin’ Records.

His most recent song, “Hazed,” was released on his own Pinkstar Records label and inspired him to explore the new sound terrain appropriate for today’s dance music scene.

When summer comes to an end, he will release his eagerly anticipated remixes of Calvin Harris’ “Thinking About You” (featuring Ayah Marar) and Cazzette’s “Weapon”—in the form of two separate tracks titled Acapulco At Night and Belo Horizonte At Night.

It is clear that EDX has a promising future and will continue to be popular with the most discerning audiences worldwide.

EDX is a very talented DJ who has had a successful career in the dance music scene. He has released several albums and remixes, as well as collaborated with other artists such as ATB and Axwell. In addition, he has released his own albums that have been very successful. EDX’s most recent album was released in June 2016 on Spinnin’ Records and features popular EDM tracks like “Ready For The Weekend” (featuring Bright Lights) and “We Can’t Give Up.”
